Frequently asked questions

Why are some numbers kept as strings?

Values with leading zeros (ZIP codes, IDs such as 007) and integers too large for JavaScript are kept as strings so no data is lost. Turn off type detection to keep every value as a string.

Does it handle commas and line breaks inside values?

Yes. Quoted fields follow RFC 4180: "a, b" stays one value, "" is an escaped quote and quoted fields may span lines.
